In the Mu Rho Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., service is more than an initiative—it is the foundation of who we are. Guided by our motto, "Greater Service, Greater Progress," we are committed to creating meaningful, lasting impact throughout Henderson community through strategic partnerships, volunteerism, and community engagement.
Every chapter initiative reflects our belief that stronger communities are built through collaboration, leadership, and sustained service. Together, we proudly advance Sigma Gamma Rho's legacy of sisterhood, scholarship, and service by creating opportunities, empowering families, and inspiring positive change.
Operation Big Book Bag
Mu Rho Sigma Alumnae Chapter supports students and families by providing backpacks, school supplies, and essential resources that help students begin the school year prepared and confident. We work to remove barriers to learning and ensure students have the tools they need to succeed
Project Cradle Care
Through Project Cradle Care, the Mu Rho Sigma Alumnae Chapter supports mothers, babies, and families by promoting healthy pregnancies, prenatal education, and access to valuable maternal and infant health resources. Through education, community partnerships, and service, Mu Rho Sigma helps empower families with the knowledge and support needed to give every child a healthy start.
Swim 1922
Through Swim 1922, the Mu Rho Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. promotes water safety, swimming education, and confidence in and around the water. Through community partnerships, swim instruction, and water safety education, Mu Rho Sigma works to increase access to lifesaving skills for children and families while helping to build safer, stronger communities.
