Sisterhood
Mu Rho Sigma is an alumnae chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc, an international historically Black Greek-letter organization founded on November 12, 1922, at Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana. Founded by seven visionary educators affectionately known as the Seven Pearls. Guided by a commitment to service, scholarship, and sisterhood, these trailblazing women established an organization that has grown into a global network of accomplished and dedicated members.
Sigma Gamma Rho is a proud member of the National Pan-Hellenic Council and holds the distinction of being the only historically Black Greek-letter sorority founded at a predominantly White institution.
We honor the legacy of our 7 Pearls through building a sisterhood that last a lifetime.
